Hello!

I'm Mervin, proud Founder and Director of REDSTAFF Medical.

Currently a transport Registered Nurse, with prior experience in Singapore's Emergency Ambulance/Medical Services.

After working on the ground for years, including seeing the casualties that came from mass participation events, I realised that the conventional model of event medical coverage wasn't really keeping up. It was inflexible, stationary, reactive, and quite out of date.

In order to change things, I started REDSTAFF Medical - initially as an all-volunteer group in 2022, and eventually a private company in 2024.

Our mission: To rethink, challenge, and reform how medical coverage in events are done. We don’t just show up on event day; instead we want to collaborate with event organisers from the start to create a medical coverage plan that is adaptive, efficient, and economical to benefit all parties in the event.

Instead of just patching up the aftermath, we're here to keep events uneventful!

HISTORY

REDSTAFF Medical was first amalgated in July 2022 as an all-volunteer medical team providing its services to the events of charities, societies, non-profits, and student organisations.

Our first event was NTU Sports Club's National Vertical Marathon 2022, (pictured) held in a new post-COVID reality where health and safety in events became paramount. With just three initial members, we grew into a Ground Up Initiative with 15 members by mid-2023.

In 2024, we incorporated as an Exempt Private Company to better serve more clients from the private and government sectors, and to ensure our own personnel are fairly remunerated for their contributions in our service. Two years after our formation, we had successfully supported over 50 events with over 40 team members by end 2024!

We remain committed to our mission of "Keeping Events Uneventful," as we continue to support more events with the highest standards of medical care.
